Puppies, like babies, are a LOT of work. They press the adults who care for them on on so many levels but at the end of the day, they have given back so much more than they have demanded. Mobley is a very spoiled puppy but he's not snobby. We find ourselves visiting the local pet stores every weekend now to socialize him to all the strangers we can. He makes friends wherever he goes, especially as it seems, little girls dressed in pink and purple! It's a thrill to see the joy he evokes in the people we are able to meet. It's pure pleasure for us to share our little bundle of black fur. He's looking more lab than newfoundland... like a fuzzy lab ;) I took these photos after returning from this weekend's shopping spree. I can't believe we've only had him three weeks. He's about 3 months old now and tomorrow's trip to the veterinarian for his regular vaccination will reveal how many pounds he's gained! We are cherishing being able to pick him up and cuddle him (he loves that!) He particularly loves to be held in the arms of his two big men! We'll see just how long Paul and Devon will be able to do this! When Mobley weighs 120# the photos will definitely be posted! Check out Mobley's toy "flea" in this photo. He's eaten off two of the six legs and I thought I better take the pictures before he completely devours the animal! The nose is well on its way out of the picture as he nipped the end off today! As the flea invites Mobley to "bite him" Mobley eagerly accepts the challenge! We are busy making memories!!!

You know me, I'm a sucker the four-legged furry friends! So cute. But you are right-lots of work and many similarities to parenting a child. They tend to be less resistant to training however!
